Have you heard about young people? They love getting involved in the community, and they know how to use technology. What a powerful combination of interests and skills!
Don’t believe me?
A group of Tufts University students organized “501c3: Capturing Change on Camera,” a video contest highlighting the stories of nonprofits.
I was intrigued by “Operation Breaking Stereotypes,” an organization that exposes students to different cultures through an exchange program. I also liked “Nourishing NYC” because the program helps low-income families establish healthy eating habits. Both videos connect the causes to real people and real impact.
What an awesome project! Students are learning about important causes in their community, and nonprofits’ powerful stories are being told through video.
How else can nonprofits’ benefit from young people’s passions for the community and for technology? Please leave a comment with your idea!
