Do you know what you need to thrive?  And do you know how to get what you need to thrive?  And are you consistent in a relentless pursuit of what you need to thrive?

That is what self-care looks like.

Self-care looks like:

  • knowing what you need to thrive
  • knowing how to get what you need to thrive
  • PLUS relentlessly pursuing what you need to thrive

For me, daily self-care looks like:

  • resting with at least 6 hours of sleep (preferably 8!)
  • moving, dancing, or exercising
  • drinking at least 8 cups of water (preferably 10!)
  • nutritious, tasty meals (always breakfast with protein!)
  • time with God
  • time with my husband
  • time with our daughter
  • hygiene routine (preferably long hot showers!)

For me, weekly self-care looks like:

  • participating in my faith community
  • time in the outdoors
  • writing
  • conversations with friends

For me, monthly self-care looks like:

  • women and wealth book club
  • fun and fundraising professional development group
  • iron sharpens iron business peer group
  • sibling phone call
  • clergy spouse gathering
  • spiritual life coach meeting
  • business coach meeting
  • therapist appointment

So, my encouragement and challenge to you:

  • Do you know what you need to thrive?
  • And do you know how to get what you need to thrive?
  • And are you consistent in a relentless pursuit of what you need to thrive?
