Somehow we think that we have to have it all together.

For some reason, we want to get it perfect before we share it with anyone else.

Somehow we think we are supposed to be preparing for a performance.

 

I can get in this same mindset too.

And it can be completely agonizing and anxiety-producing.

It can also be blocking – halting all progress, stopping all actions, hindering all growth.

 

Instead, we must challenge our own selves to simply do it, take action, try.

Because we aren’t called to perfection.  We are called to practice.

Each day practice, each day try again, each day go for it.

 

Hey, even doctors practice medicine.  They don’t perform medicine.  Or perfect medicine.
