Neighborhoods are the building blocks of our communities. They shape our lives in powerful ways – where we spend our money, how we travel through the city, with whom we spend our time.
For anyone already involved in or new persons interested in Indianapolis‘ community development, I strongly encourage you to attend the first annual Neighbor Power.
This free event features workshops and presentations on the issues that are most important to our neighborhoods. I plan to attend “Abandoned, not forgotten” and “Peaceful Streets.” From the information gained, I am looking forward to implementing some ideas into my near eastside neighborhood.
Neighbor Power is provided by Greater Indy Neighborhoods. The event is this Saturday, October 17 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. – hosted at the University of Indianapolis. Please check out: further details, registration, and workshop listings. Hopefully, I will see you there!
