The development director is frustrated that the prospect researcher can’t figure out how those two people are related.

Sound familiar?

Too familiar!

The art of fundraising is critical – our nonprofits need people who can skillfully cultivate positive relationships with donors and partners.

The science of fundraising is critical – our nonprofits need people who can manage the information systems needed to coordinate the relationships.

Still don’t get it?  We need art and science; both are required for successful fundraising.

So, stop fighting each other and disrespecting each other’s important work.  Figure out how to cooperate.  We’re better together than we are apart!

How does your fundraising team bring together the art and the science?  Please leave a comment with your response!
